Senior Platform Engineer

Role overview A large intelligence company is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to strengthen the infrastructure that lets engineering teams build and operate at the scale of modern security workloads. The role centers on CI/CD, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and developer tooling, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, reliability, and enabling velocity across many product teams. It is well-suited for an engineer who enjoys both hands-on platform work and partnering with developers to improve their day-to-day experience.

Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable efficient and reliable software delivery. - Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform across cloud environments. - Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications on Kubernetes, including production clusters in AWS. - Administer and optimize source code repositories and developer workflows in GitHub. - Collaborate with development teams to enhance tooling and streamline the software development lifecycle. - Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, applying best practices for security, reliability, and performance.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or a closely related role. - Proficiency in Golang or Python for scripting and automation. - Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code. - Strong knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration, including hands-on experience with ArgoCD. - Solid experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration, and with AWS cloud services. - Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

Nice to have - Experience with GitHub runners and other CI/CD platforms, plus Go, Python, or Java in a CI/CD context. - Familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana. - Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments and comfort with networking and Linux. - AWS or Kubernetes certifications. - Exposure to developer portals such as Backstage, or tools like kOps and Cilium CNI.
