Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Role overview A Senior Infrastructure Engineer role on the team that builds and operates the AWS, Kubernetes, and data-warehouse foundation behind a large-scale healthcare intelligence platform. The position owns both the cloud-native infrastructure layer (Terraform, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) and day-to-day operation of the Snowflake data warehouse, with a strong emphasis on cost discipline, security, and reliability. It suits an infrastructure engineer who is equally comfortable optimizing warehouse spend as they are hardening IAM and shipping Terraform modules.

Responsibilities - Operate and optimize the Snowflake environment, right-sizing warehouses, monitoring usage and cost, and triaging query-performance issues and internal requests. - Build and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure as code via Terraform and GitOps with ArgoCD, reducing manual toil. - Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery using GitHub Actions or similar tools. - Drive infrastructure optimization across performance, scalability, and cost through FinOps practices, tagging, and attribution. - Harden cloud security posture through least-privilege IAM and RBAC, networking hygiene, and HIPAA and SOC2 alignment. - Build and maintain centralized observability across metrics, logs, and alerting, and participate in a shared US-business-hours on-call rotation.

Requirements - Hands-on Snowflake (or comparable cloud data warehouse) experience in production, including SQL, warehouse operations, and query-performance fundamentals. - Production experience building and operating AWS cloud infrastructure with attention to security and cost. - Infrastructure-as-code proficiency with Terraform, treating IaC as the default from inception. - Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (Docker and k8s) in production. - Scripting and automation in Python, Go, or Bash plus CI/CD pipeline experience with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or Harness. - Fluency with AI-assisted engineering tools (such as Claude, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or AWS Bedrock) and sound judgment about safe use.
