Role overview Join a remote engineering team building a global B2B SaaS platform that helps companies deliver personalized gifts, branded swag, and event experiences to prospects, customers, and employees. The work spans the full stack, from backend services and APIs to responsive web interfaces, with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and customer-facing impact. The role is an individual-contributor position for someone who enjoys moving across layers and shaping engineering standards.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain features across the full platform, including backend services, integrations, and user-facing web interfaces. - Develop, extend, and document public and internal APIs, plus an MCP server, in line with evolving customer and team needs. - Use AI-assisted development tools as a core part of the daily workflow for coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation, while critically validating generated output. - Participate in technical decision-making, code reviews, and quality practices covering testing, performance, and accessibility. - Champion DevOps practices such as monitoring, logging, and incident response to keep systems reliable and performant.
Requirements - 3+ years of software development experience in a product-focused company, with a solid grasp of engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices. - Comfort working across the stack, with backend experience in Ruby on Rails, relational databases, and SQL, including query optimization and troubleshooting. - Frontend experience building web interfaces with React and modern JavaScript, integrating RESTful APIs, and handling asynchronous data flow. - Hands-on experience designing, building, and documenting RESTful APIs. - Regular practical use of AI coding assistants or agents, with the judgment to review generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability. - Practical experience with automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and monitoring or performance tools.
Nice to have - Background in e-commerce or B2B SaaS products involving orders, payments, catalogues, fulfilment, or logistics across multiple countries. - Experience building and maintaining third-party integrations such as CRMs, suppliers, or marketplaces, including webhooks, retries, and data syncing.
