Head of Business Systems & Security

Role overview A senior Head of Business Systems and Security role owning the platforms, security program, and IT operations for a B2B SaaS company with distributed teams across the UK, US, and Portugal. The position combines systems architecture leadership with security accountability and a mandate to drive AI adoption and automation across the organization.

Responsibilities - Own the business systems estate including CRM, ERP, integration platforms, and underlying data governance - Lead SOC 2 Type II program ownership, security policies, risk register, and customer security assurance processes - Manage identity and access management, joiner/mover/leaver processes, and the device and endpoint estate across three countries - Drive AI adoption strategy including tool selection, workflow redesign, training, and governance framework implementation - Take a standing mandate to identify manual processes across teams, automate them, and measure the impact - Lead a small team of systems engineers while managing specialist delivery partners

Requirements - 5+ years in business systems, IT, or BizTech leadership within B2B SaaS, including 3+ years leading a function - Deep hands-on ownership of enterprise CRM, ERP, and integration platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, Workato, or equivalents) - Accountable ownership of SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 program - Experience with identity, SSO, and device estate management across multiple countries - Demonstrated daily AI usage with ability to identify real use cases and implement them in team workflows - Strong technical judgment and ability to communicate trade-offs to executive stakeholders
