IT Security Analyst

Role overview Join an internal Security Operations Center as a frontline defender monitoring, investigating, and responding to security incidents across the organization. This is a hands-on technical role focused on threat detection, malware analysis, and continuous improvement of SOC processes and documentation.

Responsibilities - Monitor and triage security alerts arriving through ITSM platforms, escalating where appropriate - Investigate incidents using open-source intelligence to enrich alerts with meaningful context - Profile and evaluate emerging cyber threats relevant to the organization's environment - Proactively hunt for threats and anomalies across the network using established methodologies - Perform static and dynamic malware analysis within sandbox environments - Track evolving attack vectors and countermeasures, translating findings into detection improvements - Develop and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and procedural documentation for the SOC

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field - Cybersecurity and Microsoft Azure certifications - 1-2+ years in a hands-on technical cybersecurity operations role - 1-2+ years working within an internal SOC or a managed security service provider - Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure environments and services - Experience analyzing logs from IDPS, EDR, and firewall solutions - Solid grounding in incident response, malware analysis, endpoint and network digital forensics, and security detection engineering
