DevSecOps Engineer

Role overview This DevSecOps Engineer role sits on a Platform Engineering team responsible for evolving a cloud infrastructure foundation that product engineering teams rely on daily. The position emphasizes multi-regional Kubernetes environments, infrastructure-as-code, performance optimization, and the thoughtful application of AI to automate infrastructure workflows during a period of rapid growth.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure across multi-regional cloud environments using Kubernetes and container orchestration. - Advance infrastructure-as-code practices with Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible to deliver reliable, automated deployments. - Drive performance optimization across the stack, including tuning for Node.js workloads, and improve observability with Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus. - Leverage AI-powered solutions to automate routine infrastructure tasks, reduce operational toil, and improve efficiency. - Strengthen infrastructure security and compliance controls while supporting cost-optimization strategies across cloud environments. - Collaborate cross-functionally to incrementally improve established systems, balancing stability with strategic enhancements.

Requirements - BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Systems Administration, or a related technical field (professional experience may substitute). - 6-8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with a track record of scalable solution design. - Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Docker within production container orchestration environments. - Demonstrated proficiency in AWS and infrastructure-as-code tooling. - Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Go, or Ruby). - Strong collaborative instincts emphasizing open communication and cross-team interaction.

Nice to have - Background in Site Reliability Engineering practices. - Familiarity with multi-cloud platforms (GCP, Azure), service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul), and database optimization (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch). - Experience modernizing legacy infrastructure and disaster recovery planning.
