Grupo QuintoAndar | Senior Software Engineer - IAM

Role overview Build and operate centralized identity and access management services that protect a large digital platform. The systems handle authentication and authorization at high volume, so the work emphasizes security, resilience, fault tolerance, and low latency. You will own services through design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing operation while collaborating across engineering and security teams.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and scale centralized authentication and authorization platforms. - Develop secure APIs and dependable systems for user-to-service and service-to-service access. - Work with engineering, product, and security colleagues to establish reusable secure integration patterns. - Own the software lifecycle from requirements and implementation through testing, release, and maintenance. - Contribute to design and code reviews, reinforce engineering practices, and mentor colleagues. - Monitor service health, investigate incidents, troubleshoot production issues, and use post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.

Requirements - Strong software engineering experience in one or more languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python. - Background designing scalable software architecture and secure REST APIs. - Solid engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, deployment automation, and technical documentation; experience with Agile practices. - Knowledge of database design, monitoring, observability, and performance measurement. - Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English.

Nice to have - Experience with identity providers or fine-grained authorization systems, cloud IAM services, and service-to-service identity approaches such as workload identity or mutual TLS. - Familiarity with highly concurrent, latency-sensitive distributed systems, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD security checks, or mentoring engineers.
