Senior Quality Engineer

Role overview The role champions engineering quality for next-generation intelligent products, embedding rigorous testing practices throughout the development lifecycle rather than relying on end-stage validation. It centers on designing automation frameworks, performance testing infrastructure, and quality systems that enable confident shipping of complex, AI-driven software. As a senior technical leader, the engineer will own ambiguous quality problems spanning multiple teams, define organizational triage practices, and mentor peers.

Responsibilities - Architect and evolve core automation frameworks, including leading a migration from an existing Cypress-based setup to Playwright, and build out the performance testing stack - Establish how root cause analysis and failure triage operate across teams, personally driving investigations on the hardest cross-functional defects - Lead the most demanding quality initiatives, spanning automation architecture and AI-assisted testing, taking projects from idea to production and beyond - Drive large-scale, cross-team programs end-to-end with a high degree of autonomy, choosing where to invest effort for the greatest impact - Mentor senior engineers and raise the quality bar across the engineering organization - Adapt focus based on shifting priorities, applying a generalist engineering mindset to whatever problems most need solving

Requirements - 8–10+ years of experience building and scaling test automation for complex software systems - Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, with a track record of writing and maintaining production-grade automation code - Demonstrated history of leading large-scale, cross-functional quality programs from design through delivery - Experience root-causing complex, cross-functional failures and building durable triage processes - Comfort navigating high-pressure release situations and making trade-off calls on test strategy - Ability to influence decisions on automation architecture and quality gates across teams

Nice to have - Experience with AI-assisted testing techniques and tooling - Familiarity with microservices and Kubernetes architectures - Hands-on work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
