Senior Information Security Engineer

Role overview A B2B real estate technology platform that supports millions of home closings annually is hiring a senior information security engineer to operate at the intersection of technical depth and business impact. The role identifies where assumptions have been made, assesses the risk, defines what "normal" looks like across products and assets, and owns detection and response when something deviates from that baseline.

Responsibilities - Partner with stakeholders across the business to identify gaps and strengthen the organization's security posture. - Uncover weaknesses through threat modeling, security assessments, and the development of practical security baselines. - Build and operate tooling across the full security lifecycle: prevention, detection, investigation, and response. - Evaluate cloud environment security posture, monitor for configuration drift, and ensure alignment with organizational baselines. - Serve as escalation point for customer-reported security concerns, triaging issues and driving them to resolution with clear communication. - Triage and reproduce vulnerability findings from penetration tests, internal tooling, and external reports, communicating risk clearly to the right audiences. - Scale security impact through automation and education, making the broader organization more security-aware.

Requirements - 4+ years of professional information security experience with both a strong defensive foundation and familiarity with offensive techniques. - Genuine curiosity about how systems work and how they break. - Ability to write code, whether a quick automation script or a more substantial detection tool. - Comfortable talking to engineers about misconfigurations and briefing business leaders on risk. - Growth mindset and adaptability as the threat landscape evolves.
