About this role
Role overview Own quality assurance for an iOS application undergoing a substantial redesign. The work spans the full testing cycle, from reviewing requirements and assessing risks to manual validation and automation, with a focus on adaptable interfaces and dependable releases.
Responsibilities - Test new and existing features through functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end checks. - Review specifications, identify edge cases, and prepare test cases and checklists. - Validate interface behavior across screen sizes, device families, and iOS versions. - Build and maintain automated regression tests, including coverage for features without developer-written tests. - Help move the automation framework to Swift-based testing and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Test REST APIs and real-time data flows; investigate issues with network inspection tools, device logs, and debugging utilities.
Requirements - At least 3 years testing native mobile apps, especially iOS, with knowledge of platform conventions and limitations. - Practical experience building mobile tests with tools such as Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso. - Proficiency in at least one automation language, such as Kotlin, Java, Swift, Python, or TypeScript. - Knowledge of testing approaches and design techniques, and ability to write clear test cases and bug reports. - Experience testing REST APIs and JSON; familiarity with API tools and basic WebSocket or real-time data testing. - English at B1 level or higher and Russian at C2 level.
Nice to have - Swift and XCUITest experience, or experience migrating an existing automation framework. - Testing experience with financial products or other systems where data accuracy and reliability are critical.
