Role overview
Turn business questions into practical statistical analyses and machine learning solutions for a new client engagement. As the first technical specialist on the project, you’ll work with project and client data leaders to develop models and insights that stakeholders can use, then help move those solutions into ongoing use.
Responsibilities - Clarify stakeholder questions and frame them as analytical problems with measurable outcomes. - Gather, clean, and validate data from multiple sources; create dependable datasets and model features. - Choose suitable statistical or machine learning methods, then train and evaluate models. - Design experiments such as A/B tests and define metrics for assessing business impact. - Collaborate with data and engineering teams to deploy analyses or models and monitor them over time. - Write tested, reproducible code and document assumptions, methods, and findings. - Keep teammates informed about progress and raise risks early.
Requirements - At least four years in data science, applied machine learning, or advanced analytics. - Strong Python skills, including tools such as pandas or scikit-learn, and strong SQL. - Sound knowledge of statistics and machine learning, including model selection, validation, and experiment design. - Evidence of taking analysis or models from exploration to stakeholder use. - Ability to explain results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Advanced written and spoken English for daily collaboration with client stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience in e-commerce, retail, or manufacturing, including forecasting, pricing, or customer analytics; production MLOps on AWS, GCP, or Azure; modern data tools such as dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks; BI tools; or consulting and client-facing work.
