Senior Manager, Actuarial AI & Enterprise Performance

About this role
Role overview Lead a Medicare Advantage performance and operations team that connects actuarial, financial, and operational insight to enterprise decisions. The senior manager sets the team’s operating model, develops its people and analytical capabilities, and helps leaders understand performance, evaluate initiatives, and act on risks and opportunities. The role also promotes responsible use of AI to improve analysis and decision support.
Responsibilities - Set team objectives and operating standards for governance, initiative prioritization, valuation, execution tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement. - Direct performance monitoring using indicators, dashboards, and KPIs; apply consistent analytical standards and use trends to guide priorities and leadership decisions. - Integrate operational, actuarial, and financial findings into clear recommendations and decision options for executives. - Apply AI-enabled analytical methods while maintaining appropriate governance, data integrity, and financial discipline. - Coordinate work across finance, actuarial, clinical, revenue, pharmacy, product, analytics, and operations teams; clarify ownership and resolve competing priorities. - Develop team capability, allocate resources, coach senior analysts or finance professionals, and maintain quality and execution standards.
Requirements - 7–10 years of progressive experience in actuarial work, healthcare finance, population health, analytics, consulting, strategy, or operations. - Track record leading cross-functional initiatives and organizational change. - Strong understanding of Medicare Advantage economics, such as medical cost trends, utilization management, risk adjustment, provider reimbursement, or value-based care. - Advanced SQL and Excel skills, with experience using Python or R, business intelligence tools, and modern AI tools to improve analysis or workflows. - Strong executive communication skills, including translating complex analysis into actionable business insight. - Experience managing and developing senior analysts or finance professionals and influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
Nice to have Managed care or healthcare actuarial experience is preferred, as is direct experience applying AI to analytical workflows, operational efficiency, or business decisions.
