Senior Solutions Architect, Managed Service Providers

Role overview

A senior pre-sales architect role focused on building a global Managed Service Provider practice for a data platform company serving hyperscalers, AI labs, and the broader AI ecosystem. The architect will define the technical go-to-market motion alongside partner architects and end customers, then take it directly into live deals.

Responsibilities

- Lead MSP opportunities end to end through discovery, solution design, sizing, competitive positioning, proof-of-concept execution, and technical close. - Define end-to-end service architectures covering multi-tenancy, automation, provisioning, and integration into partner stacks. - Shape commercial constructs including unit economics, cost-per-tenant models, and consumption-based subscriptions. - Position the full data platform across block, file, and object storage, hybrid cloud data services, and Kubernetes-native storage offerings. - Build technical credibility with MSP architects, practice leads, and CTOs while developing a community of partner-side champions. - Capture real-world MSP requirements and feed reusable assets—reference architectures, sizing guides, service blueprints—back into the global program and product organization.

Requirements

- 5+ years in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical leadership with a demonstrable record of winning partner-led business. - Direct experience working with managed service providers and a working understanding of how they build, price, operate, and sell managed services. - Depth across modern data platform architecture including hybrid and cloud data services and storage-as-a-service models. - Commercial fluency around consumption economics, total cost of ownership, and margin conversations with finance and practice leadership. - Strong written, diagrammatic, and verbal communication, with executive presence for both whiteboard sessions and CTO-level discussions. - Entrepreneurial mindset comfortable building a practice from scratch rather than inheriting an established one.
