Clinical Informatics Specialist - Remote

Role overview A remote Clinical Informatics Specialist role that supports clinicians and caregivers as they use the Epic electronic health record (EHR) platform, providing around-the-clock coverage for a large multi-state health system. The position bridges clinical practice and information technology teams, helping care teams implement, learn, adopt, and optimize clinical technology across the care continuum. Candidates must live within two hours of a facility in AK, WA, MT, OR, CA, or TX, and the fixed schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. PDT.

Responsibilities - Deliver 24/7 remote support to clinicians and caregivers using the Epic EHR and related clinical systems. - Act as a liaison between clinical practice and information services to surface needs, solve problems, and improve workflows. - Drive implementation, learning, adoption, and optimization initiatives for clinical technology tools. - Champion the thoughtful integration of information technology into day-to-day healthcare workflows and serve as a knowledgeable resource for clinical staff. - Train and support adult learners using evidence-based approaches to adult education.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline, IT/informatics, business, education, management, communications, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. - At least two years in a role with similar primary duties working with a clinical information system in a healthcare setting. - Hands-on experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. - Familiarity with the benefits and challenges of adult learning in clinical or technical contexts.

Nice to have - Informatics certifications or credentialing, which may substitute for up to two years of required experience at the hiring manager's discretion.

Benefits and work setup - Fully remote within the eligible footprint states, with a fixed shift of Wednesday-Saturday, 11:00 a.m.-9:30 p.m. PDT. - Hourly base pay varies by location, roughly $30.59 to $72.82 depending on the service area (for example, $46.91-$72.82 in most of Northern California, $40.11-$62.27 in the Oregon Portland Service Area, $40.11-$62.27 in Anchorage, AK, $32.29-$50.13 across much of Montana and New Mexico, and $30.59-$47.49 in Texas). - Typical benefits package includes a 401(k) with employer match, medical/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, paid parental leave, vacations, holidays, sick time, voluntary benefits, and well-being resources. - Additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby or on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities may be available depending on schedule and assignment.
