Clinical Informatics Specialist - Remote

Role overview

This remote clinical informatics position helps healthcare clinicians and caregivers use an electronic health record system effectively across the care continuum. The specialist serves as a bridge between clinical practice and information services, supporting technology implementation, education, adoption, troubleshooting, and optimization. Because the team provides continuous remote support, the regular schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

Responsibilities

- Provide remote support to clinicians and other caregivers using clinical information technology. - Promote effective, safe, and consistent use of the electronic health record in clinical settings. - Help users with technology implementation, training, adoption, workflow integration, and ongoing optimization. - Translate clinical needs into practical information-services guidance and communicate system-related issues clearly. - Apply knowledge of adult learning principles when explaining tools, workflows, and system changes. - Participate in a 24/7 support model and collaborate with clinical and technical stakeholders across the care continuum.

Requirements

- A bachelor’s degree in a clinical discipline, information technology, informatics, business, education, management, communications, or a related field; equivalent education or experience may be considered. - At least two years in a healthcare role involving similar primary duties and work with a clinical information system. - Experience working with electronic health record systems. - Understanding of the benefits and challenges involved in educating adult learners. - Ability to work the specified Wednesday-through-Saturday schedule during the stated Pacific Time hours. - For remote work, residence in an eligible footprint state and within two hours of an affiliated care location is required; listed states include Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon, California, Texas, and New Mexico.

Nice to have

- Informatics certification or other relevant professional credentialing. Depending on experience, this may be considered in place of some experience requirements.

The position is full time and remote, with location-based base-pay ranges provided for eligible states and regions. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby or on-call coverage, overtime, premiums, incentives, or bonuses.
