Role overview
This role invites fully fluent Japanese speakers to contribute to AI training by taking part in live, unscripted video conversations. Each session pairs the participant with another Japanese speaker for a relaxed chat about everyday subjects, with the dialogue recorded so research teams can study authentic speech patterns. The work is remote, task-based, and entirely self-scheduled, with no minimum hour requirement, which suits those looking for flexible paid work.
Responsibilities
- Take part in paired video calls with another Japanese-speaking contributor and maintain a natural back-and-forth - Cover everyday topics in a casual way, free of scripts, prompts, or rehearsed answers - Allow call audio and video to be recorded as training material for conversational AI - Complete a short language assessment before paid tasks become available - Review individual posted tasks and choose which ones to accept based on time and pay
Requirements
- Complete fluency in Japanese, with comfortable conversational ability at natural speed - Sufficient English to follow task instructions and flag any problems - Comfort speaking face-to-face over video with an unfamiliar partner - A quiet environment for recording and a dependable headset with a clear microphone - A friendly, easygoing personality and openness to chatting with new people
