Role overview

This is a remote, task-based opportunity for fluent Japanese speakers based in or near Toyohashi to contribute conversational data that trains AI models. Participants join live video calls with other Japanese-speaking peers and chat naturally about everyday topics, with their speech recorded to help models learn authentic patterns, tone, and cultural nuance. It is a flexible, gig-style role with no fixed hours or minimum commitment, suited to people who want to shape AI behaviour on their own schedule.

Responsibilities

- Take part in live video conversations in Japanese on everyday subjects. - Keep dialogue spontaneous and unscripted, letting topics flow naturally. - Allow sessions to be recorded so researchers can analyse speech, tone, and cultural cues. - Complete a short language assessment before joining the talent pool. - Choose individual tasks based on the posted time estimate and pay.

Requirements

- Full fluency in Japanese (speaking and comprehension). - Working English ability for reading task instructions and reporting. - Comfort holding relaxed, flowing conversation with a new partner over video call. - A quiet environment plus quality headphones and a microphone for clear audio capture. - Friendly, easygoing manner and openness to speaking with strangers.
