Role overview
This remote, task-based role invites fluent Japanese speakers in the Takasaki area to take part in live conversational sessions that train AI systems. Participants meet other Japanese-speaking peers on video calls and chat about ordinary, real-world topics while their speech is recorded, giving models exposure to natural Japanese dialogue, rhythm, and cultural references. Work is offered per task with no minimum hours, making it a flexible way to contribute to AI development.
Responsibilities
- Join scheduled video calls and converse in Japanese on everyday matters. - Maintain a natural, unscripted style rather than rehearsed responses. - Permit session recordings that researchers use to study authentic language patterns. - Pass an initial language assessment to join the participant pool. - Review each task posting and decide independently whether to accept it.
Requirements
- Native or equivalent fluency in Japanese. - Sufficient English to read task briefs and complete basic reporting. - Confidence chatting comfortably on camera with an assigned counterpart. - A quiet workspace and a reliable headset with microphone for clear audio. - Outgoing, approachable personality suited to extended small-talk conversations.
