AI Training - Fluent Japanese Speakers - Niigata, Japan

Role overview A flexible, remote AI training role invites fluent Japanese speakers to help language models learn how people really talk. Participants join short live video sessions with another speaker, chat about ordinary subjects, and let the recording become training data for conversational AI. There is no fixed roster, no minimum shift length, and each task can be accepted or skipped based on the participant's availability.

Responsibilities - Join one-to-one video conversations in Japanese with another participant - Discuss everyday topics in an unscripted, flowing way without prepared material - Allow the call to be recorded so that natural speech, tone, and pacing can be collected - Complete an initial language skills assessment to be added to the active pool - Read the task description, time estimate, and compensation before deciding whether to take it on - Make sure the room is quiet and the microphone and headphones are producing clear audio

Requirements - Full fluency in Japanese, ideally at a native-speaker level - Functional English for following written instructions and task updates - Confidence speaking on camera with someone new for an extended period - A quiet recording space, a stable internet connection, and a quality headset with microphone - Easygoing personality and willingness to chat openly with strangers

Nice to have - Background in teaching, interpreting, customer service, or applied linguistics
