Role overview

A task-based, flexible opportunity invites fluent Japanese speakers to take part in live video conversations that help train next-generation AI models. Participants pair up with other Japanese speakers and discuss everyday topics in natural, unscripted dialogue while their exchanges are recorded to teach models about real conversational tone, rhythm, and cultural nuance. Work is fully remote with no fixed schedule and no minimum hours requirement.

Responsibilities

- Join scheduled video calls with other fluent Japanese speakers for paired conversation - Discuss everyday topics in an organic, unscripted way as you would with anyone else - Allow conversations to be recorded so the audio data can be used for AI model training - Complete an initial language assessment to gain entry to the talent pool - Browse individual posted tasks and decide which to accept based on time estimate and pay

Requirements

- Full fluency in Japanese - Working proficiency in English for instructions and reporting - Comfort holding a flowing conversation with new people over video call - A quiet environment plus good-quality headphones and microphone for clean audio - Friendly, easygoing manner when speaking with strangers
