AI Training - Fluent Japanese Speakers - Kyoto, Japan

Role overview A flexible, task-based remote opportunity for fluent Japanese speakers to help train the next generation of AI models through natural conversation. Participants join live video calls with other Japanese speakers and discuss everyday topics, with their recorded dialogues used as high-quality training data for researchers and AI developers. The role is associated with work tied to the Kyoto area but is performed remotely with no fixed schedule.

Responsibilities - Take part in live video conversations in Japanese with other participants. - Discuss everyday topics naturally, without scripts or performance requirements. - Allow conversations to be recorded so they can be used as training data for AI models. - Complete a short language assessment before accessing paid tasks. - Pick up individual tasks as they are posted, reviewing time estimates and pay before accepting.

Requirements - Full fluency in Japanese. - Fluent English for reading instructions and reporting. - Comfort holding a relaxed, flowing conversation over video call with someone new. - Quiet environment and good-quality headphones and microphone for clear audio. - Friendly, easygoing manner; backgrounds in teaching, interpreting, customer service, or linguistics are a plus.

Nice to have - Prior experience participating in paid research studies or AI data-collection work.
