Role overview

This flexible, remote opportunity is open to fluent Japanese speakers in or around Hachioji who want to help shape how AI models understand everyday conversation. Participants join live video sessions with other Japanese speakers, talking through ordinary topics while their natural speech is recorded as training data. The role is fully task-based, with no fixed schedule, and participants decide which assignments to take on after reviewing the posted details.

Responsibilities

- Engage in live, unscripted Japanese conversations over video with other participants - Talk through everyday subjects in a natural, conversational way - Have conversations recorded to provide training data on speech patterns, tone, and cultural nuance - Complete a brief Japanese language assessment to qualify for the talent pool - Review each task's time estimate and pay before deciding to participate

Requirements

- Full fluency in Japanese - Working fluency in English for understanding instructions and reporting - Confidence chatting comfortably on video with new people - A quiet environment equipped with good-quality headphones and a microphone - Friendly, easygoing personality suited to open-ended conversation
