Role overview

This is a paid, remote contributor role for candidates based in Montana who already have hands-on experience training artificial intelligence systems. Applicants first complete a short skills assessment, and those who pass are added to an on-call participant pool where outside researchers pay them to train and evaluate AI models. Work is structured as self-employment, with pay attached to each completed task.

Responsibilities

- Complete AI training assignments such as reading model outputs, editing responses, and writing structured annotations - Judge and rate how well AI systems perform on individual tasks - Provide human feedback that is used to refine and improve the underlying models

Requirements

- Verifiable prior experience as an AI Trainer, along with working capability on AI training tasks - Willingness to take a 10- to 15-minute skills verification test during onboarding - Solid attention to detail and the ability to stay focused on complex work for up to an uninterrupted hour - A working computer backed by a stable, fast internet connection - Comfort with self-employed status, including self-declaring earnings - An active PayPal account through which task payments can be received
