About this role
Role overview This position serves as a central program leader bringing structure, visibility, and execution discipline to complex engineering initiatives and federal project opportunities. The role connects technical teams with business functions to align priorities, enable high-quality decisions, and keep critical initiatives moving with clarity and accountability. It is well suited to a technically fluent operator who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving cross-functional problems, and wants to help a growing organization scale with greater speed and predictability.
Responsibilities - Drive end-to-end execution of engineering projects, keeping deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and timelines visible and on track. - Partner with engineering and technical leaders to develop and maintain integrated project plans and execution roadmaps. - Proactively identify, track, and resolve schedule risks, resource constraints, dependencies, blockers, and critical-path issues. - Facilitate cross-functional execution meetings, drive accountability, and ensure timely follow-through on action items and decisions. - Own and manage the federal opportunity assessment process from intake through go/no-go decision, maintaining a structured pipeline with defined stages, owners, deliverables, and decision points. - Develop repeatable processes, templates, dashboards, and operating mechanisms, and establish operational KPIs to improve predictability, delivery performance, and assessment cycle times.
Requirements - 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management, Engineering Operations, or a related discipline. - Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional technical programs involving engineering teams, including multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities. - Strong experience with project planning, dependency management, risk management, and milestone tracking. - Ability to drive accountability without direct authority over contributing teams and to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. - Strong organizational and operational skills with exceptional attention to detail, plus solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities. - Experience building and improving operational processes and workflows.
Nice to have - Experience supporting U.S. federal government programs, contracts, or procurement processes, including capture and technical solution assessments. - Background in government contracting, defense, aerospace, national security, or another highly regulated environment. - Technical fluency with software, hardware, systems, or infrastructure engineering organizations. - Familiarity with program-management tools such as Jira, Linear, Asana, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or Notion, and experience developing executive dashboards and operational metrics. - PMP, PgMP, or a related certification.
Benefits and work setup - US salary range of $160,000–$200,000, with equity grants included as part of total compensation for most full-time offers. - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of employee premiums covered. - Flexible time-off policy and a trust-based work environment designed to support work-life balance. - Paid company holidays and a collaborative culture oriented around meaningful, high-impact work.
