Software Engineer

Role overview A software engineer is needed to help turn innovative ideas and research into robust, production-grade software for autonomous platforms. The role is hands-on across coding and system design, partnering closely with research and development to move prototypes into high-performance production code that integrates with robotic systems and sensors. It suits a self-directed engineer comfortable in a fast-paced environment who cares about both the engineering and the real-world impact of the work.

Responsibilities - Transform innovative ideas and research into robust, production-grade software for autonomous platforms, contributing directly to coding and system design. - Collaborate with the R&D team to convert concepts and prototypes into high-performance production code, with clear objectives and timelines. - Conduct performance analysis and apply low-level optimizations for efficiency, portability, and scalability across critical components. - Integrate developer software with robotic systems, sensors, and other hardware.

Requirements - Demonstrated expertise in C++ and/or Python. - Demonstrated expertise in data structures, algorithms, and system-level programming concepts such as threading, synchronization, and memory management. - Demonstrated expertise in debugging, profiling, and optimizing complex software systems. - U.S. citizenship and current U.S. residency are required.

Nice to have - Familiarity with autonomy, performance-critical systems, or robotics. - Experience with machine learning methods for natural language processing and autonomy. - Experience with embedded systems and real-time applications.
