Job details
About this role
Role overview
Take FPGA designs from microarchitecture through implementation, timing closure, validation, and release, while also contributing digital logic for FPGA and ASIC targets. You will build prototypes to test architectural choices and help bring up complete systems that combine programmable logic, firmware, and software.
Responsibilities - Define, implement, test, release, and support FPGA designs across the development lifecycle. - Develop networking functions and digital logic for FPGA and ASIC targets with system architects and other engineering teams. - Build FPGA prototypes to evaluate architectures and design alternatives before committing to silicon. - Validate designs through simulation and hands-on lab work, including timing closure and silicon validation. - Bring up and test systems spanning FPGA, firmware, and software. - Assess cost, size, power, performance, and feature trade-offs to guide design decisions.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - At least 5 years of FPGA and/or ASIC design and implementation experience. - Hands-on proficiency writing RTL in SystemVerilog. - Record of designing, testing, delivering, and supporting multiple FPGA or ASIC products that shipped to customers. - Ability to work closely with software, verification, hardware, and system architecture teams.
Benefits and work setup - Remote-first work with a company-provided computer and home-office setup. - Company-paid medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage; supplemental options are available. - Unlimited paid time off, 13 paid holidays, competitive salary and equity, and a 401(k) with company match. - Applicants must already be authorized to work in the U.S.; new visa sponsorship is unavailable, though eligible H-1B transfers may be supported.
