Contract: Senior Producer (project manager / delivery manager)

Role overview We are building an ongoing pool of contract senior producers to lead delivery across a portfolio of digital products, large-scale website design and development, service design, and applied AI work. Engagements primarily serve government agencies, nonprofit organisations, and socially minded businesses, and range from short bursts of cover support to multi-month placements depending on what the delivery teams need at the time.

Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end delivery on one or more projects, keeping scope, budget, and timelines on track - Step into existing teams mid-engagement and ramp up quickly on context, stakeholders, and tooling - Draft or refine statements of work, including assumptions, risks, and dependencies - Run stand-ups, workshops, and client check-ins, and coordinate research, design, and development inputs - Provide additional delivery leadership during busy periods or staffing gaps - Support identification, scoping, and bidding for new opportunities

Requirements - Typically 8 or more years delivering digital research, design, or technology projects, ideally with budgets of around $500,000 or more - Track record delivering work for government and/or not-for-profit organisations - Confidence working across both agile and waterfall methodologies, with judgement about when each fits - Proficiency with common delivery tools such as Jira or Asana, plus flexibility to adopt whatever a new team already uses - Comfort managing scope, budget, and timelines under live pressure, with sound judgement on when to escalate - Strong stakeholder communication and the ability to onboard into new teams, clients, and projects quickly

Nice to have - Ability to start at short notice or relatively soon - Willingness to be considered for ongoing pool opportunities, not only the immediate gap
