Senior Data Warehouse Engineer

Role overview

Build and maintain the data pipelines and warehouse models that support business intelligence and reporting across software and insurance operations. This is an individual contributor role focused on reliable data, complex SQL transformations, scalable design, and warehouse performance, working with data specialists and technical architects.

Responsibilities - Build and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines with BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer. - Write SQL transformations that reconcile data accurately across multiple datasets. - Design and refine star and snowflake models as business reporting needs evolve. - Find and resolve pipeline bottlenecks, improving query speed and cloud cost efficiency. - Work with analysts and business stakeholders to translate measures such as churn and claims ratios into technical requirements. - Review code and maintain documentation to support the warehouse over time.

Requirements - Strong SQL skills, including complex transformations and performance tuning. - Experience building and operating data warehouse pipelines. - Ability to design dimensional data models for reporting and analytics. - Skill in investigating data quality and pipeline performance issues. - Clear communication and collaboration across technical and business teams.
