Role overview
Create technical education that helps developers understand relational databases, database scaling, infrastructure, and a modern data platform. The role blends writing, documentation, public speaking, community building, livestreams, webinars, and event participation, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 20–50%.
Responsibilities
- Produce tutorials, articles, examples, and other technical content for developers and engineers. - Explain how PostgreSQL, MySQL, database scaling systems, and related platform capabilities work. - Create, maintain, and improve product documentation. - Speak at conferences and events for technical audiences. - Host livestreams, webinars, and educational sessions for the developer community. - Build relationships with developers and experiment with new approaches to technical education.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in engineering, solution architecture, technical education, or developer relations. - Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL or MySQL. - Demonstrated ability to create technical content, such as blog posts, tutorials, documentation, or presentations. - Experience speaking at conferences or hosting technical events. - Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt complex subjects for different audiences. - Willingness to travel approximately 20–50% of the time.

- Experience with database scaling, distributed systems, or infrastructure. - Previous work in a database or infrastructure-focused organization.
