Tableau Product Manager

Role overview A senior product manager role treating Tableau as a full business intelligence platform rather than just a dashboard tool. The position owns content architecture, governance, performance, and the publisher lifecycle while translating stakeholder problems into scalable data solutions for a large user base.

Responsibilities - Own Tableau platform content architecture, governance, published data sources, permissions, and the full publisher lifecycle. - Tune dashboard performance by diagnosing and fixing slow extracts, queries, and workbook design issues. - Define and enforce best practices across a large community of content authors, including enablement material. - Anticipate demand from different business functions rather than only responding to tickets. - Bridge business stakeholders and engineering, surfacing real problems from conversations and translating them into scalable data solutions. - Explore Tableau MCP and build or deploy Tableau skills or agent integrations.

Requirements - At least 5+ years as a Product Manager with deep Tableau expertise. - Hands-on experience with Tableau content architecture, governance, performance tuning, and publisher workflows. - Familiarity with Tableau MCP and modern agent or skill integrations. - Strong communication skills, able to operate between business stakeholders and engineering teams. - Snowflake experience as the data layer behind the deployment. - Prior work inside a Tableau center of excellence, or as an analytics platform owner, with thousands of content authors.

Nice to have - Salesforce Certified Tableau Consultant, Architect, Server Administrator, or Data Analyst credentials, with Consultant and Architect prioritized. - A clear point of view on governed BI versus dynamically generated dashboards, covering token cost, latency, guardrails, and security. - Experience running enablement for a large user base through office hours, documentation, and community programs. - Familiarity with the Tableau Blueprint framework for enterprise deployment, governance, and adoption.
