Automation QA Engineer

Role overview

This position focuses on building and maintaining the automated testing infrastructure that safeguards quality, compliance, and performance for slot game development. The work blends C# engineering, computer vision, and AI-assisted testing to validate game logic, visual rendering, and mathematical models across the full game lifecycle. The role partners closely with QA, game development, and engineering teams throughout production and certification.

Responsibilities

- Design and maintain C# automation suites that validate game logic, paytables, reel math, bonus triggers, and payout calculations against certified specifications - Build computer vision systems using OpenCV or similar libraries to visually verify screen rendering, symbol placement, animations, and on-screen game state, including hardware cabinet testing when API access is constrained - Develop test harnesses that interface with game engines and firmware to inject test conditions and capture internal state for regulatory certification - Create AI/ML tools that detect visual anomalies such as glitches and misrenders, along with statistical anomalies including RNG and RTP deviations, to accelerate regression detection - Integrate visual, logic, and compliance tests into build pipelines so every release is validated before reaching QA or regulators - Take on additional projects and duties as assigned by management

Requirements

- At least five years of experience in QA automation with hands-on C# expertise - Proven experience building computer vision-based testing tools using OpenCV or comparable frameworks for visual regression and screen-state validation - Solid understanding of slot machine and gaming domain concepts including RNG, RTP, paytables, reel math, and bonus mechanics, plus familiarity with regulatory standards such as GLI or BMM - Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques to testing, such as anomaly detection or automated test generation - Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining automated test pipelines integrated into CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the initiative and drive to deliver high-impact work

Nice to have

- Hands-on C or C++ development experience beyond C# - Knowledge of the broader casino gaming industry, including slot machines, table games, or iGaming platforms
