Role overview
A senior Database Management Analyst is needed to deliver technical, analytical, and lifecycle support to a U.S. Navy division focused on electromagnetic warfare, decoy, and surface electronic warfare improvement programs. The role blends hands-on database administration with logistics, data science, reliability and maintainability engineering, and operations research to model complex systems and inform data-driven decisions. Work spans cradle-to-grave activities including engineering, technology transition, installation, logistics, product support, test and evaluation, sustainment, maintenance, and repair.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, test, implement, and maintain databases and database management systems supporting Navy electronic warfare mission requirements. - Monitor database operations to ensure availability, reliability, integrity, security, and performance across production environments. - Plan, coordinate, test, and execute changes, updates, upgrades, and modifications while controlling operational risk. - Develop and enforce security measures, access controls, and safeguards that protect sensitive program information from unauthorized access or loss. - Perform routine maintenance, backup, recovery, and restoration activities to sustain continuity and data availability. - Collaborate with application developers, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and technical teams on integration, migration, validation, and ongoing sustainment.
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance. - Master's degree. - Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
