Role overview A remote-first beauty membership platform is hiring a VP of Technical Program Management to serve as a trusted partner to the CTO and lead the centralized TPM function. The role blends the strategic foresight of a Chief of Staff, the executional rigor of a Head of PMO, and a metrics-driven Digital Operational Excellence lens, applied to a high-volume e-commerce and subscription-commerce platform. It can be performed fully remotely from any U.S. state where the company is authorized to hire.
Responsibilities - Drive annual planning, OKR alignment, and progress tracking across the technology organization, and take on sensitive, fast-moving cross-department initiatives. - Lead the centralized PMO function, defining its vision, operating model, and governance framework. - Manage a portfolio of strategic initiatives spanning platform modernization, checkout and payments, fulfillment, personalization, and subscription systems. - Build the operating framework the organization uses to prioritize work, track milestones, resolve dependencies, manage budget, and surface risk early. - Keep Business, Engineering, Product, Data, and Infrastructure aligned on scope, sequencing, and delivery dates. - Build and lead a high-performing team of project and program managers, establishing standardized methodologies (Agile, hybrid, stage-gate) matched to each initiative.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - 12+ years of technology leadership spanning strategy, program management, and digital operations, including 5+ years running a PMO. - Proven track record supporting executive leaders and scaling operational capability in high-growth environments. - Background in consumer-facing digital products, e-commerce, or subscription-commerce platforms. - Hands-on fluency with delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, Smartsheet, and Monday.com. - Comfort in technical conversations with engineering and SRE teams on architecture trade-offs, incident response, and system performance, without needing to write production code. - Strong financial acumen (budgeting, ROI, prioritization) and the ability to design scalable governance models. - Legally authorized to work full-time in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
Nice to have - PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification. - Agile certifications such as SAFe or Scrum.
