Technical Project Manager

Role overview

A Technical Project Manager is needed to coordinate delivery across four engineering and quality assurance squads building a long-running mobility platform. The work supports operators managing vehicles and drivers, regulators setting guidelines, service providers delivering sustainable solutions, and riders expecting an effortless transit experience. The role blends hands-on Agile facilitation with AI-assisted delivery tracking to keep complex, multi-team work predictable against external deadlines.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate end-to-end delivery across four engineering and QA teams, managing dependencies, scope changes, and cross-team alignment - Facilitate core Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives - Maintain a healthy backlog with reliable estimates, firm commitments, and predictable throughput - Track delivery health using metrics such as cycle time, rework rate, predictability, and escaped defects, then escalate risks with concrete recommendations - Map critical paths, sequence work around external deadlines, and coordinate handoffs with external partners and senior stakeholders - Apply AI tools to automate sprint reporting, risk analysis, release notes, and ongoing delivery monitoring - Proactively surface slipping work, stale dependencies, and scope drift, while supporting continuous improvement of team processes

Requirements

- Substantial experience as a Scrum Master, Technical Project Manager, or equivalent delivery lead on engineering teams - 3-5 hours of daily working-hour overlap with the Eastern US time zone - Solid technical understanding of APIs, backend services, platforms, and the teams that build and operate them - Track record of delivering complex technical projects against hard external deadlines - Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence for backlog and documentation management - Ability to read and interpret API specifications and sequence diagrams - Daily hands-on use of AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or comparable tools - Upper-Intermediate written and spoken English, paired with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Background in mobility, transit, payments, advertising, or other consumer-facing platform domains - Comfort coordinating delivery across geographically distributed engineering organizations
