Job details
About this role
Role overview
Own software features from technical kickoff through implementation, review, and release. Using product and design specifications as a starting point, the Product Builder defines the architecture and implementation plan, then directs and reviews AI coding agents while remaining accountable for correctness, security, and maintainability.
Responsibilities - Design feature architecture, data models, APIs, component contracts, and implementation constraints before coding begins. - Break work into sequenced vertical slices and independently reviewable changes, coordinating across repositories and tracked issues. - Translate system and program designs into clear tasks for AI agents, critically assess generated code, and refine agent workflows. - Validate implementation through code review, automated tests, CI/CD checks, and security analysis; ensure the result matches the intended design. - Identify technical risks during kickoff and work with Product, Design, and platform architects on scope, prototypes, and missing platform capabilities. - Help determine release readiness, including edge cases, error handling, offline behavior, and rollback considerations.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience designing and shipping production software, including data models, APIs, and component contracts. - Strong code review judgment to identify correctness, security, and maintainability issues in code written by others. - Working knowledge of test strategy, CI/CD, version control, static analysis, dependency scanning, and secure development. - Ability to decompose features into incremental work and communicate clearly with product, design, and clinical partners. - Ability to handle protected health information in line with HIPAA and internal data governance requirements.
Nice to have
Experience with healthcare software, clinical or operational platform integrations, monorepos and shared CI/CD, or evaluation of AI-driven product features.
