AI Engineer

Role overview Build and improve AI capabilities across an app and connected-device ecosystem, with a focus on making technology useful to people. The work spans model development, production evaluation, and collaboration with mobile and embedded engineers to deliver features across cloud and on-device environments.

Responsibilities - Develop and optimize models for translation, speech, and product intelligence. - Create evaluation pipelines and track model quality after features reach production. - Work with mobile and embedded teams on architectures that combine device-side and cloud processing. - Use beta programs and community feedback to refine AI features. - Document technical decisions and contribute to an iterative engineering process.

Requirements - At least three years of experience building machine-learning or AI systems used in production. - Experience with large language models, speech systems, or translation pipelines. - Proficiency in Python and contemporary machine-learning frameworks. - Understanding of how latency, cost, and reliability trade-offs affect systems at scale. - Interest in human-in-the-loop approaches and AI that gives users control.
