Role overview A lead frontend engineer is sought to set the technical direction for high-performance web applications that serve a large player base in the social gaming space. The position blends architecture, performance engineering, and people leadership, with AI treated as a primary productivity lever across the engineering workflow rather than an experiment.
Responsibilities - Define technical strategy for scalable CMS-driven applications and establish performance foundations across large projects - Drive frontend infrastructure optimization and Core Web Vitals improvements (CLS, INP, and related metrics) across multiple products - Lead code review practices and uphold standards for code quality and maintainability - Translate technical concepts and progress clearly for product owners and non-technical stakeholders - Continuously refine development processes and workflows to lift team productivity - Partner with distributed product management teams to ship customer-facing web applications
Requirements - Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and Next.js with the App Router - Extensive experience managing the internationalization (i18n) lifecycle for large-scale applications, including integration with translation management platforms such as Crowdin - Proficiency with monorepo tooling such as NX or Turborepo - Track record integrating third-party APIs, analytics, and A/B testing solutions - Demonstrated results with SEO optimization and PageSpeed improvements (CLS, INP, etc.) - Strong UI/UX skills with Figma and experience building responsive, consumer-facing web applications - Comfort operating in an AI-driven engineering environment where AI is used across system design, prototyping, refactoring, testing, and code review, paired with strong engineering judgment and ownership
