Senior AI Engineer, Frontend & Product

Role overview

Own the client-side experience for AI-powered products, helping people understand what the system has understood, review its results, and take action with confidence. You’ll build conversational and real-time interfaces while shaping how AI workflows fit into users’ everyday work.

Responsibilities

- Build web applications for AI workflows, including conversational interfaces, streamed responses, and contextual views of data, sources, and actions. - Create interaction patterns for confirmation, correction, and handoff to a person when an action needs oversight. - Integrate with backend services and AI tools, coordinating API contracts and handling delays, partial responses, and failures. - Own frontend performance, accessibility, testing, and reusable component foundations. - Observe how people use the products and use those insights to guide product decisions. - Contribute across the stack when needed, including changes to APIs, queries, or deployments.

Requirements

- Senior frontend experience with a modern framework such as React or Next.js and strong TypeScript skills. - Experience building real-time or streaming interfaces and managing complex client-side state. - Hands-on experience shipping features that use large language models, with an understanding of their behavior and failure modes. - Enough backend knowledge to make practical changes to APIs, queries, or deployments. - Care for accessibility, performance, and interaction details that help users trust the software. - Willingness to learn and work with unfamiliar technologies.

Nice to have

- React Native or other mobile development experience. - Product or design experience, including direct work with users. - Data visualization, dashboards, or internal tools for operations, finance, or HR.
