About this role
Role overview A senior individual contributor role on a data science team working on enterprise pricing, campaign measurement, and customer behavior problems within a digital health company. The position focuses on advancing algorithmic pricing by building interpretable, ML-driven systems that translate data into actionable price recommendations and business outcomes.
Responsibilities - Advance algorithmic pricing across the business by designing systems that model supply, demand, willingness-to-pay, and expected ROI. - Build interpretability into pricing systems so quoted prices, drivers of change, and exception decisions are explainable and consistently actioned. - Apply machine learning, statistical modeling, and optimization methods to deliver measurable impact for clients and internal teams. - Develop a deep understanding of campaign goals and constraints to inform modeling decisions. - Mentor and coach less experienced data scientists, raising the overall technical bar of the team. - Promote models through the full lifecycle, including production deployment and ongoing performance monitoring. - Translate complex findings into compelling narratives for stakeholders across engineering, product, and pricing.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field. - Six or more years of data science experience developing data products, deploying models to production, and delivering analyses to stakeholders. - Fluency in Python and SQL, with end-to-end experience across the data stack including manipulation, analysis, visualization, model deployment, and pipeline orchestration. - Advanced competency in machine learning and statistical methods, including predictive modeling, model validation and selection, network analysis, price elasticity estimation, and optimization under constraints. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering, product, and pricing teams. - Demonstrated ability to deliver results against expected timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have Master's or doctoral degree in a quantitative field, prior experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, value-based pricing, B2B pricing, or digital advertising, and familiarity with Snowflake, Airflow, HEX, or Gurobi.
