Solutions Architect

Role overview A remote, customer-facing pre-sales role that sits between business problems and technical solutions. The position partners with prospects and existing clients to understand their needs, design appropriate architectures, and guide deployments from initial planning through operational handoff. The work blends consulting, solution design, and hands-on technical engagement across both on-premises and public cloud environments.

Responsibilities - Build deep relationships across customer IT teams, spanning executives, application developers, operations, security, architecture, and deployment groups - Translate customer requirements into tailored architectural solutions and demonstrate how they address business objectives - Create comprehensive deployment plans covering data center preparation, network integration, operations tooling, and developer onboarding - Take ownership of customer success from early planning through production integration with their existing systems - Develop prototypes that illustrate how a deployment and migration could realistically look for the customer - Communicate technical detail and business value clearly to varied audiences

Requirements - Pre-sales experience in on-premises and/or public cloud deployments - Comfort engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from leadership through engineering teams - Curiosity about different application types and deployment modalities - Ability to discuss both technical detail and the business impact of technology choices - Willingness to overlap with Pacific Time for at least four hours per workday

Nice to have - Experience building prototypes that visualize customer deployments and migrations - Disposition toward filling the gap between what a technology can do and what a business needs
