Data II Analyst

Role overview Join a Medicare Advantage Reporting team focused on producing scheduled and ad hoc reports that support operational decision-making. The position partners with claims, membership, medical management, sales, marketing, and quality teams to deliver insights from complex data environments. This is a full-time, remote role based in South Carolina or North Carolina, working standard Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities - Run queries against DB2 relational databases on a host mainframe to generate reports for Medicare Advantage Operations. - Review, extract, and analyze data to inform procedure updates and address operational issues. - Build data search programs that surface documentation supporting system or operational enhancements. - Design, code, and maintain complex database programs for financial and operational reporting. - Document procedures so colleagues can run ad hoc reports independently. - Perform focused analyses to identify root causes of data anomalies and recommend corrective action.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience (associate degree plus four years, or six total years). - Two years of research and analysis experience. - Proficiency with DB2, SQL, and relational databases across software platforms. - Advanced knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts with strong analytical skills. - Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with Visual Basic and macros for automation. - Strong organizational, customer service, and communication abilities.

Nice to have - One year of Medicare Advantage experience. - One year using IBM Query Management Facility (QMF) or QMF for Workstation. - Two years of SQL or DB2 programming experience.
