Role overview A director-level analytics leader is needed to head the analytics and business intelligence function for a Supplemental & Group business line. The position combines strategic advisory work with hands-on analysis, guiding a team that translates complex data into insights which shape strategy, operations, and customer experience. The role also bridges the business with enterprise data and technology teams to strengthen data quality and governance.
Responsibilities - Define and execute the analytics strategy for the Supplemental & Group business, prioritizing work with the highest potential value. - Lead deep-dive analyses to surface trends, root causes, risks, and performance drivers, then translate findings into clear business recommendations. - Manage, coach, and develop a team of analysts handling business intelligence, reporting, and operational analytics. - Partner with business leaders to define KPIs, performance measures, and consistent business definitions, and to enhance dashboards and reporting. - Lead cross-functional initiatives that apply analytics to improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes, and measure results. - Represent the business in enterprise data warehouse and data transformation efforts, supporting data definitions, validation, and governance.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field. - 6–8 years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, finance, operations, or a related discipline. - Demonstrated success leading analysts and managing multiple analytical priorities simultaneously. - Experience conducting complex analyses and turning findings into actionable recommendations that drive measurable operational improvements. - Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or comparable business intelligence and visualization tools. - Familiarity with finance and operations concepts, plus exposure to enterprise data warehouse or data transformation initiatives.
Nice to have - Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline. - Background in insurance or financial services, particularly with Supplemental, Group, or employee benefits products.
Benefits and work setup - Annual pay range of $105,200 to $147,950 plus bonus, with salary commensurate to experience and location.
