Forward Deployed Engineer

Role overview Own technical work across the customer lifecycle for a platform used to make fraud, credit, and compliance decisions. This customer-facing engineering role combines solution design, implementation, configuration of AI-driven workflows, production support, and feedback that can improve the platform.

Responsibilities - Lead technical discovery with prospective customers to understand data, integration, and risk decisioning needs. - Design and demonstrate proof-of-concept solutions, including API patterns, data flows, and agent workflows. - Deliver implementations from kickoff through go-live, covering data mapping, workflow setup, and user acceptance testing. - Configure decision rules and multi-step AI workflows for areas such as onboarding, fraud investigation, credit decisions, alert triage, and compliance monitoring. - Diagnose integration and production issues, review system outputs, and lead technical health reviews and escalations. - Train customer teams, contribute technical input to proposals and security reviews, and share field insights with internal teams.

Requirements - At least five years in a technical customer-facing role such as solutions engineering, technical account management, or forward deployed engineering, ideally in B2B software, fintech, or AI. - Demonstrated ownership of technical implementations from scoping through production launch. - Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, integration patterns, SQL, JSON, data schemas, and enterprise architectures. - Hands-on experience with large language models: building practical solutions, refining prompts, inspecting logs, and troubleshooting behavior. - Experience with AI coding tools and the ability to configure complex software platforms and build lightweight integrations. - Familiarity with agent orchestration, tool use, human review, evaluation methods, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Nice to have - Financial services experience in fraud, credit risk, anti-money laundering, compliance, or payments. - Experience deploying AI or machine learning platforms, agent workflows, or LLM-powered systems in enterprise settings.
