Role overview A group product management role owning the vision and strategy for the platforms that power member coverage, billing, payments, and support tooling at a technology-driven health insurer. The role spans coverage data integrations and APIs, billing workflows, and the internal tools support teams use to resolve member issues, including an evolving mix of AI-assisted and human-led service.
Responsibilities - Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for member coverage and support platforms. - Lead product strategy across coverage data integrations, billing, payment workflows, service tools, and related APIs. - Manage, mentor, and develop a team of product managers. - Partner with engineering, operations, data, design, and business leadership to modernize legacy tooling and improve platform scalability, usability, and reliability. - Improve the tools and workflows that help support teams resolve complex member issues quickly and accurately, including AI-driven inquiry handling and human-agent escalations. - Drive measurable improvements in operational outcomes such as first-call resolution, call duration, escalation rates, and issue resolution quality. - Translate complex technical and operational concepts into clear priorities and narratives for non-technical stakeholders, and make thoughtful tradeoffs across experience, performance, reliability, and cost.
Requirements - 7+ years of product management experience. - 2+ years of people management experience. - Background leading technical platform products such as internal tools, workflow systems, APIs, or integrations. - Experience managing complex product areas with multiple stakeholders, systems, and operational dependencies. - Strong communication skills, including the ability to turn technical complexity into clear business and product strategy. - Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to identify opportunities, prioritize work, and measure success.
Nice to have - Experience in healthcare, insurance, fintech, or another regulated, operationally complex industry. - Experience improving support operations through tooling, automation, AI, workflow redesign, or agent-facing products.
Benefits and work setup - Base pay range of $180,504 to $236,911.50 per year, plus equity, annual performance bonuses, and an unlimited vacation program. - Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 11 paid holidays, paid sick time, parental leave, 401(k) participation, life and disability insurance, and paid wellness time and reimbursements. - Remote role open to candidates residing in the designated metro area, with the understanding that the working model may evolve over time.
