About this role
Role overview
A senior individual contributor role on a small product team focused on building a collaboration platform for the agentic era, enabling anyone with taste and judgment to direct AI agents in producing real software. The position reports to the Head of Product and is designed for someone who operates at the system level, identifying high-impact problems across the product rather than executing on a pre-defined roadmap. Work spans diagnosis, strategy, and end-to-end ownership of complex, cross-surface initiatives at one of the fastest-growing products in software history.
Responsibilities
- Define product strategy for ambiguous, high-impact areas, making explicit prioritization calls that weigh customer insight, product quality, business impact, and technical feasibility. - Own complex, cross-surface initiatives from initial diagnosis through shipped outcome, carrying the work rather than scoping and handing off. - Use the product as a real user would, building things end-to-end to surface friction and quality issues before customers encounter them. - Co-own the metrics that matter for the area (activation, engagement, retention, expansion) and steer the team toward the highest-leverage opportunities. - Lead discovery across users, customers, support, sales, and internal teams, converting qualitative signal, usage data, and market context into sharp product judgment. - Partner cross-functionally to navigate tradeoffs, build alignment, and ship high-impact work, while raising the bar for product thinking across the team through example.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product experience, including meaningful time operating at this scope and ambiguity. - Track record of senior IC work at a product-led company, creating leverage without a large team or a perfect plan. - Deep understanding of product-led growth, with the ability to connect a single lever (activation, onboarding, targeted feature delivery) to retention and revenue. - Strong product judgment: the instinct to recognize when something feels off, diagnose why, and translate that into a clear direction. - Comfort in technical discussions; the ability to hold honest tradeoff conversations with engineers. Familiarity with developer tools and AI products is a significant plus. - High ownership and urgency, with strong written and verbal English communication skills for frequent cross-functional and customer collaboration.
Nice to have
- Background building developer tools, AI products, or other technical products aimed at technical users. - Enough hands-on ability to rough out a prototype and demonstrate an idea rather than only describing it.
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote, globally distributed team. - No college degree required; remote-friendly across geographies. - No requirement to meet every qualification listed.
