AI Forward Deployed Engineer

Role overview Own the technical delivery of AI systems that address complex business needs, from understanding the problem through design, implementation, and ongoing improvement. Working in a small engineering pod, you’ll combine hands-on production development with close collaboration with the people who use and rely on the systems.

Responsibilities - Clarify business needs and turn them into systems that deliver measurable value. - Write production code, make architectural decisions, and shape technical direction. - Build and improve AI agents and applications, using evaluation and feedback to increase reliability. - Work directly with stakeholders to understand workflows, discuss tradeoffs, and refine solutions. - Take responsibility for technical outcomes when requirements are unclear or challenging.

Requirements - Strong software engineering fundamentals applied to AI systems. - Ability to work across a system while also building and owning specific components. - Sound judgment about what to build, informed by technical analysis and real-world feedback. - Comfort working through ambiguity and taking responsibility from problem definition to delivery. - Interest in evaluating and continuously improving systems whose behavior can change over time.
