Role overview This is a senior, remote-Canada engineering role on an analytics and automation team building a fast-growing GRC intelligence platform used by large enterprises. The position blends hands-on full-stack coding with technical leadership, architecture decisions, and mentoring across a polyglot stack. It suits an engineer who enjoys taking ideas from concept to production while raising the bar for the team around them.
Responsibilities - Build and ship product features end to end across back-end and front-end layers. - Lead application architecture decisions and write clear design documentation. - Mentor fellow engineers and guide high-quality delivery across multiple contributors. - Implement back-end services and APIs in Python and Node.js. - Develop SPA front-ends using React, Vue, or Ember. - Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects while keeping code maintainable and testable. - Collaborate with product managers and designers, and contribute to open-source projects.
Requirements - Eight or more years building web-based applications in production. - Hands-on experience with a web framework such as Django or Rails. - Proficiency with a modern front-end framework like React, Vue, Ember, or Angular. - Experience writing REST or JSON APIs, ideally documented with Swagger or OpenAPI. - Comfort writing software tests and solving technical problems independently. - Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Nice to have - Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform. - Modern ES6 or TypeScript on Node.js. - Cloud platform experience, ideally AWS. - SaaS application background. - Docker or Kubernetes familiarity.
