Role overview
Senior Manager, Enterprise Data leads the central data platform for a high-growth SaaS organization, scaling the data warehouse, ingestion pipelines, and transformation layer that powers analytics across the business. This remote leadership role partners with GTM, Finance, Product, and HR stakeholders to set governance standards, shape a forward-looking data strategy, and unlock advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases.
Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise data hub, managing the cloud data warehouse and building reliable, optimized pipelines that ingest and transform data from GTM, Product, Finance, and HR systems. - Drive an enterprise-wide data governance strategy in partnership with cross-functional leaders, aligning on KPIs, shared definitions, quality standards, security, and compliance. - Prioritize and manage the data roadmap through sprint planning, balancing immediate stakeholder requests with a scalable long-term architecture. - Establish best practices for data modeling, testing, and documentation so transformations remain clean, auditable, and maintainable. - Deliver trusted, GTM-ready datasets supporting pipeline health, bookings, churn, and customer lifetime value. - Mentor and lead a team of data and analytics engineers, setting CI/CD standards and fostering a culture of reliability and innovation. - Track modern data stack trends in orchestration, ingestion, and AI-driven transformation to keep the platform current.
Requirements
- 8+ years in data/analytics engineering or enterprise data management, including leadership experience. - Demonstrated success designing and implementing data governance frameworks and aligning stakeholders on KPIs and data standards. - Hands-on expertise with a modern data stack, including dbt for transformation, orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster, and ingestion tools such as Fivetran. - Proven experience managing cloud data warehouses (Snowflake or comparable) at enterprise scale. - Practical experience with access controls, role-based permissions, and data masking for sensitive information. - Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and how advanced analytics can drive business outcomes. - Familiarity with SaaS metrics such as ARR, churn, pipeline health, and customer lifetime value.
