Job details
About this role
Role overview A fast-growing GRC software company is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the commercial data foundation that powers revenue, pipeline, and growth analytics. This senior individual contributor reports to the Director of Commercial Strategy & Analytics and partners with Sales, Marketing, and Finance leaders to deliver trusted, well-documented data models and semantic layers. The role combines deep hands-on data modeling with strategic influence across the go-to-market analytics function.
Responsibilities - Own and execute the analytics engineering roadmap, delivering tested, documented dbt models that match how the business defines ARR, bookings, and pipeline. - Build analytical models for upsell, whitespace, ICP fit, and account scoring, and create semantic layers that enable self-serve reporting. - Establish standards for data architecture, QA, version control, code review, CI/CD, and monitoring across the commercial modeling layer. - Govern core commercial data through clear rules for ownership, access, naming, lineage, and change management, and keep metric documentation current. - Evaluate and recommend improvements to the data stack, mentor analysts on modeling practices, and build AI-powered tools that accelerate the team.
Requirements - Eight or more years in data or analytics roles, with at least three years in analytics engineering at a fast-paced, data-driven company. - Demonstrated experience building analytical models for go-to-market teams, such as account scoring, ICP, propensity, or whitespace analysis. - Expert-level SQL and solid Python, plus deep hands-on data modeling expertise from raw source through production-ready layers. - End-to-end ownership of production models in Snowflake or a similar enterprise warehouse, navigating completeness, performance, and speed tradeoffs. - Familiarity with modern data stacks such as Fivetran, dbt, and Snowflake, including building semantic layers. - Applied software engineering practices to analytics, including Git, code review, CI/CD, and automated testing.
Nice to have - Strong communication skills for translating business questions into data models without losing stakeholders along the way. - Experience inheriting and improving data models and pipelines built by other teams.
Benefits and work setup - Salary range of $129,600 to $178,200, depending on scope, experience, and location. - Remote-eligible role with a small, high-impact team partnering closely with commercial leadership. - Background check required; role may access highly sensitive employee, customer, financial, and product data.
