Backend, Part-Time AI Coding Task Evaluation - Remote (United States)

Role overview Evaluate backend work completed by AI coding systems, using your engineering judgment to shape realistic feature and bug-fix tasks and assess the resulting code. The work is part-time, fully remote within the United States, and can be scheduled around other commitments.

Responsibilities - Create backend feature and bug-fix scenarios for AI systems to solve. - Develop automated checks that distinguish correct implementations from incomplete or faulty ones. - Review generated code for correctness, performance, test coverage, and maintainability. - Investigate bugs, flaky tests, or system bottlenecks and explain what needs improvement.

Requirements - Professional backend development experience with Java or Node.js, or a comparable language such as Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, or C++. - Experience building scalable services and APIs. - Strong grounding in algorithms and data structures. - Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly. - Familiarity with CI test pipelines or diagnosing flaky tests is helpful.
